NBM 2026: Bibles Distributed at Pateros, Taguig and Valenzuela LGU Flag Ceremonies Bringing the Word of God closer to communities ✞

The Philippine Bible Society once again took part in the flag-raising ceremonies of Local Government Units (LGUs) on January 26, 2026. Bible Society staff visited the cities of Pateros, Taguig, and Valenzuela as part of the National Bible Month celebration, where they gave out copies of the New Testament to citizens and public servants.

During the Pateros flag-raising ceremony, City Mayor Gerald German emphasized the power of God’s Word and encouraged everyone to read the Bible: “Talagang walang ibang pinakamakapangyarihang salita kundi ang Salita ng Diyos. Napakaganda nito na tayo ay nakakatanggap ng biyaya sa ating Panginoon nang sa ganon ay maging biyaya din tayo sa ating kapwa. Nawa’y maging ganito lagi ang ating pananaw at kalooban dahil ito ang gusto ng Panginoon.”
