Bible Listening Group (BLG) program

This implements hearing and reading God’s Word using both audio and printed Bible. It enhances the three motor learning skills of participants: reading, hearing, and discussing. BLGs are held at least once a week at a time and place agreed upon by the BLG members and leader/facilitator.

Anybody can attend. There are regular groups with 7-15 members, a semi-large group of 20-30 members, and a controlled large group of 40-50 persons.

Passage – Select the topic/story in the New Testament, and search the reference to be read from the printed Bible.

Play – the Proclaimer is set on the selected passage and is played while the group reads through the printed copy.

Pause – After every topic or chapter, the BLG leader presses the pause button.

Participate – The BLG leader initiates discussion with the BLG members, making it a leader-facilitator and member-participator’ format of discussion.

Who we are

Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH) is committed to reaching the nations with the Word of God in audio, delivering the Bible in a format that will connect with the world’s 50% illiterate population. It offers the world’s largest catalog of audio Bibles to individuals and nations who hunger to hear.
Jerry and Annette Jackson founded Hosanna in 1972 with the goal to share God’s Word. Hosanna began as an audio tape lending library. The ministry soon streamlined its focus to providing audio Bibles through churches, and the Faith Comes by Hearing listening program was born.

In the Philippines, FCBH uses an audio New Testament listening project, to facilitate Bible reading and study of a group.

Foundation:

The word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. It cuts all the way through, to where soul and spirit meet, to where joints and marrow come together. It judges the desires and thoughts of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

So then, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message comes through preaching Christ. (Romans 10:17)
