The Philippine Bible Society, led by Ms. Laura Valledo, who assumed office as General Secretary this January, paid a courtesy visit to the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC) at the PCEC Evangelical Center in Quezon City. She was accompanied by Ptr. Marfeal Santiago, the Deputy General Secretary for Ministry Operations, as well as members of the Management Committee.

During the visit, Bishop Noel Pantoja, PCEC National Director and Philippine Bible Society President Emeritus, shared that churches need a paradigm shift in “doing church” and should focus on disciple-making. He also explained the PCEC National Disciple-making Campaign (NDC) and highlighted how the Poimen Bible, produced by the Philippine Bible Society specifically for pastors, is a valuable tool for discipleship-making. Bp. Pantoja also gave the Philippine Bible Society

representatives a tour of the Philippine Relief and Development Services (PHILRADS) office. He showed them the Evangelical Center building plaque, which displays the names of PCEC leaders who have previously served on the Philippine Bible Society’s Board of Trustees.

During the visit, Ms. Valledo presented a copy of the 100 Steps Family Bible to Bp. Pantoja. The bishop also prayed for Ms. Valledo and for the Philippine Bible Society.
