A Promise Kept: Word Riders Return to Mindoro

A Promise Kept:
Word Riders
Return to Mindoro

In 2018, the Word Riders Philippines went on a mission to bring Bibles to students in Oriental Mindoro. Puerto Galera National High School (PGNHS) was among the schools originally included in their route. However, due to the overwhelming demand for Bibles in other schools, they ran out of copies before reaching PGNHS. Still, they held on to their commitment. Seven years later, they finally fulfilled it.

In their first Bible ride of 2025, the Word Riders Philippines, in partnership with the Philippine Bible Society, fulfilled that commitment. A team of 16 riders, together with volunteers, rode back to PGNHS and its San Isidro Extension, bringing with them more than 800 copies of the Bible for Grade 8 and 9 students. More than just distributing Bibles, they also took the time to teach the students how to read and understand God’s Word, helping them grow in faith.

For the Word Riders, this mission has always been about more than just the ride—it’s about keeping their word, ensuring that every young person who longs to read the Bible receives one.

The Philippine Bible Society and the Word Riders Philippines pray that the Bibles given will bring hope and joy to the students and guide them in their journey of faith.

May this ride be one of the many more rides to come, so that more young people can receive and be transformed by God’s Word.
