When we encounter hardships, we often believe that we should just trust God and act as if nothing has happened. But what do we do when we feel our entire world crumbling? Do we fall silent because we can no longer pray to him as we used to? Or do we choose instead to hold on to him in a different way?

On April 27, 2026, Prof. Noli Mendoza conducted a Bible Relevance in Modern Society Society (BRIMS) seminar focusing on Job chapter 3. Using this chapter, Prof. Noli pointed out how Job expressed his anguish to God in a lament, explaining that faith is not just seen whenever we trust God with a smile—it is also seen when we cry out to him in the midst of our pain.

Around 100 attendees were present during the seminar. The next BRIMS event in the Job series will be held on May 25 at the PBS 3rd Floor Ministry Center.
