MAKING THE BIBLE KNOWN

“Ipinagkatiwala ng Diyos sa atin ang mundo. Ang tanong, anong ginagawa natin?” — a question and challenge from Ptr. Noli Mendoza during a Creation Care Forum in Magalang, Pampanga

Since last year, the Philippine Bible Society has committed to creation care through its Ministry Social Responsibility (MSR) programs. Each of the ten staff-led Care Groups was assigned to various schools, communities, and churches to discuss the Philippines’ rich biodiversity and the importance of environmental stewardship. 

This year, all care groups continued their mission of sharing the message of creation care. On March 7, 2026, one group visited Magalang, Pampanga, for a forum hosted by God’s Beloved Church. The event was attended by local pastors, church leaders, and youth, with Pastor Noli Mendoza and Pastor Michael Salas serving as guest speakers.

Following the talks, participants shared their appreciation for God’s creation and discussed practical ways to care for the environment in their local communities. Additionally, each church representative was given boxes of the Generics New Testament. 

Later that month, on March 19, 2026, two groups visited Angelo Loyola Senior High School in Carmona, Cavite, where more than 2,000 students attended and each received their own copy of the New Testament.

We hope and pray that the attendees did not only appreciate what they heard at the forums, but will also live out the lessons and realizations they have gained from these events.

Although the Care Group outreaches under the Ministry Social Responsibility program have concluded for this cycle, the Philippine Bible Society remains committed to the mission of creation care. In line with its long-term goals and in connection with the United Bible Societies’ strategic direction, PBS continues to conduct and partner in programs, forums, and initiatives that promote the protection and stewardship of God’s creation.
