MAKING THE BIBLE KNOWN

God continues to bring people together in the work of making his Word known to everyone!

During the final week of February, members of the Asia Pacific Sign Language Development Association and SIL Global’s Global Sign Languages Team gathered in Manila to discuss their work. They also paid a courtesy visit to the Philippine Bible Society, where they were welcomed by General Secretary Ms. Laura Valledo and Deputy General Secretary for Ministry Operations Ptr. Marfeal Santiago.

Ms. Laura emphasized the Philippine Bible Society’s commitment to the Filipino Sign Language (FSL) Bible translation as well as its willingness to partner with the organizations to make the Bible known to the Deaf community.

The two visiting groups were composed of Deaf and Hearing representatives from Japan, Korea, Thailand, Hongkong, USA, Malaysia, and the Philippines. During their visit, they also met with the Philippine Bible Society’s FSL Bible translation team.

May the Lord continue to bless these efforts to bring his precious Word closer to the Deaf Community!
