What is your life verse?

It truly is an incredible experience when — after reading the Bible for some time — you discover your life verse. This is the verse (or set of verses) that speaks to you in the deepest and most personal way. It is usually your favorite verse and most likely, you have memorized it by heart.

Probably this verse carried you through seasons of life, in moments of confusion and hopelessness, or in moments of immeasurable joy. Your life verse is your battle cry that points you back to the goodness and love of God, our Heavenly Father.

So, we’d like to know: what is your life verse? Feel free to comment below!

The whole Bible is jam-packed with empowering and comforting verses. It’s impossible to not be moved and touched by God’s Word once you’ve internalized it.

Now, let’s take a look at the life verses of a couple of our very own PBS staff members:

Lalaine Q. (OGS)
Psalm 139:13-14 Good News Translation (GNT)
13 You created every part of me;
you put me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because you are to be feared;
all you do is strange and wonderful.
I know it with all my heart.

Princess R. (Resource Development department)
Galatians 2:20 Good News Translation (GNT)
20 so that it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. This life that I live now, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave his life for me.

Ceanne C. (Human Resources department)

9 You may make your plans, but God directs your actions.

Jonalyn C. (Publishing department)
Matthew 6:33 Good News Translation (GNT)

Mordecai M. (Finance department)
Mark 10:42-45 Good News Translation (GNT)
42 So Jesus called them all together to him and said, “You know that those who are considered rulers of the heathen have power over them, and the leaders have complete authority. 43 This, however, is not the way it is among you. If one of you wants to be great, you must be the servant of the rest; 44 and if one of you wants to be first, you must be the slave of all. 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served; he came to serve and to give his life to redeem many people.”

Malou M. (Sales & Distribution department)
Isaiah 43:1-3 Good News Translation (GNT)
God Promises to Rescue His People
1 Israel, the LORD who created you says,
“Do not be afraid—I will save you.
I have called you by name—you are mine.
2 When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you;
your troubles will not overwhelm you.
When you pass through fire, you will not be burned;
the hard trials that come will not hurt you.
3 For I am the LORD your God,
the holy God of Israel, who saves you.
I will give up Egypt to set you free;
I will give up Ethiopia and Seba.

they should boast that they know and understand me,

    मुझ को यह सिखा, कि मैं तेरी इच्छा क्योंकर पूरी करूं, क्योंकि मेरा परमेश्वर तू ही है! तेरा भला आत्मा मुझ को धर्म के मार्ग में ले चले!
    Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
    Psalm 143:10

    My life verse:
    Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
    And lean not on your own understanding;
    In all your ways acknowledge Him,
    And He shall direct your paths.
    Do not be wise in your own eyes;
    Fear the LORD and depart from evil.
    It will be health to your flesh,
    And strength to your bones.
    Honor the LORD with your possessions,
    And with the firstfruits of all your increase;
    So your barns will be filled with plenty,
    And your vats will overflow with new wine.
    Proverbs 3:5‭-‬10 NKJV

“I praise and thank our Almighty God that, through PBS, I now own a Poimen version of MBB (Magandang Balita Biblia) in the national language of the Philippines – Tagalog.
Knowing Matthew 10:32-33, I read and study the Bible so that I will not be dismayed when the Lord Jesus Christ comes. Life is too short compared with the promise of eternal life in God’s Kingdom.”
