THE BIBLE GOES ON THE AIR

Fulfilling its mandate to bring the Word of God to Filipinos wherever they may be, the Philippine Bible Society (PBS) partners with the Far East Broadcasting Company Philippines to make God’s Word available online via the internet Radio, Pinoy Connection. A brainchild of Programming and New Media Director, Mr.  Ef Pallorina, Pinoy Connection was launched last June 1, 2013 during FEBC’s 65th Anniversary. Accessed through pinoyconnection.ph, it specifically caters to Filipinos living and working abroad.

PBS produces two Scripture-based programs: Paglalakbay  and 10 minutes with the Lord, which aim to inspire and encourage Pinoys abroad through daily inspirations from the Bible.
10 minutes with the Lord airs Mondays through Fridays as a feature in the program Inspirasyon hosted by Ms. Cindy Lacanilao. It provides daily themes and scripture text for reflection. Meanwhile, Paglalakbay is a 30-minute audio bible study aired Saturdays and Sundays. It seeks to provide God’s view into daily circumstances while equipping overseas Pinoys to become better Filipino Christians. The voices behind these segments are Dr. Nora Lucero, PBS General Secretary and Ms. Hazel Salariosa-Alviz, Communications Manager. “Mahirap mahiwalay sa ating pamilya pero nariyan ang Biblia na sasama sa atin sa panahon ng pag-iisa o kapag may problema. Ang Salita ng Diyos ang magbibigay sa atin ng kalakasan at inspirasyon,” Alviz explains. Paglalakbay shares Biblical insights, reflections by and for OFWs, stories of transformation, music and trivia to accompany the listener in his/her journey or Paglalakbay  through foreign lands. The program is named after the Paglalakbay Bible, a PBS publication specifically for the OFW.
Tune in to Pinoy Connection and stay connected to your love ones and to God, 24-7. If you have a Kwentong OFW you would like to share, e-mail us your story at mystory@bible.org.ph and help inspire our kababayans abroad.

I am a Bible Ambassador because I believe that the Bible can help people a lot. And knowing the Bible, people come in touch with the Lord Jesus Christ.

It's an honor and a privilege for me to support the Philippine Bible Society - to reach out to the unreachable people by giving Bibles not only in the Philippines but the whole world.

“It is a blessing to be able to support our local churches in need of Bibles and Bible study programs. It is our hope that they not only grow in terms of membership but also have the heart to extend spiritual help to others, just like how they have received help.”

“We are thankful since each individual now has a Bible. Our members will no longer have a hard time reading. Thank you also for the discipleship materials for these will help all in getting to know Jesus and to know how to be a better Christian.”

“Philippine Bible Society organizes trainings that really respond to the needs of people who are suffering.
It has well-equipped leaders who facilitate trainings and workshops.

“I praise and thank our Almighty God that, through PBS, I now own a Poimen version of MBB (Magandang Balita Biblia) in the national language of the Philippines – Tagalog.
Knowing Matthew 10:32-33, I read and study the Bible so that I will not be dismayed when the Lord Jesus Christ comes. Life is too short compared with the promise of eternal life in God’s Kingdom.”

I think this is very helpful to every readers. The word of the Lord are the food of our soul which we always need every minute of our life. I dont often read the Bible but everytime i open it, God was always like in front of me and speaking as what is something i'm just needing to hear. He speaks to me and i can feel it. A million thanks to You my Lord.
