Standing in Awe of God’s Generous Provision

(Reference material: God’s Promises to You)

“You cannot be a slave of two masters; you will hate one and love the other; you will be loyal to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

“This is why I tell you: do not be worried about the food and drink you need in order to stay alive, or about clothes for your body. After all, isn’t life worth more than food? And isn’t the body worth more than clothes? Look at the birds: they do not plant seeds, gather a harvest and put it in barns; yet your Father in heaven takes care of them! Aren’t you worth much more than birds? Can any of you live a bit longer by worrying about it?

“And why worry about clothes? Look how the wild flowers grow: they do not work or make clothes for themselves. But I tell you that not even King Solomon with all his wealth had clothes as beautiful as one of these flowers. It is God who clothes the wild grass—grass that is here today and gone tomorrow, burned up in the oven. Won’t he be all the more sure to clothe you? What little faith you have!

“So do not start worrying: ‘Where will my food come from? or my drink? or my clothes?’ (These are the things the pagans are always concerned about.) Your Father in heaven knows that you need all these things. Instead, be concerned above everything else with the Kingdom of God and with what he requires of you, and he will provide you with all these other things. So do not worry about tomorrow; it will have enough worries of its own. There is no need to add to the troubles each day brings.

Matthew 6:24-34 Good News Translation (GNT)

The LORD is faithful to his promises;
he is merciful in all his acts.
He helps those who are in trouble;
he lifts those who have fallen.
All living things look hopefully to you,
and you give them food when they need it.
You give them enough
and satisfy the needs of all.
The LORD is righteous in all he does,
merciful in all his acts.
He is near to those who call to him,
who call to him with sincerity.
He supplies the needs of those who honor him;
he hears their cries and saves them.
He protects everyone who loves him,
but he will destroy the wicked.
I will always praise the LORD;
let all his creatures praise his holy name forever.
Psalm 145:13b-21 Good News Translation (GNT)

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for being my ultimate Provider and Helper. I am in awe of how generous You are and how much You want to take care of me. You deserve all glory and praise. May I proceed with all my day-to-day tasks and responsibilities while honoring You at the same time. I humbly ask that You give me a heart that will long to serve You now and forever.

Amen

    The Lord always provide us what we need, only the time changes to complete the days life, still his promise remains beyond time, he only knows best to his son, giving what is right for what we need, we are many but need a common goals, live in the way he like us to be until the day come we shall be with him, he like us to learn wisdom from what we have lived and knowledge from what we experience failure or success and how we are with him while these are all happening. Life is the process of faith, believe in him and you will live beyond the lifetime as he promise the HEAVEN.

“I praise and thank our Almighty God that, through PBS, I now own a Poimen version of MBB (Magandang Balita Biblia) in the national language of the Philippines – Tagalog.
Knowing Matthew 10:32-33, I read and study the Bible so that I will not be dismayed when the Lord Jesus Christ comes. Life is too short compared with the promise of eternal life in God’s Kingdom.”
