ROVING BIBLE MUSEUM GOES TO ASSUMPTION COLLEGE
Have you ever seen a mobile collection of Biblical artifacts and information called the Roving Bible Museum (RBM)? Last August 16, the RBM celebrated with young Assumptionistas to commemorate the Feast of the Assumption at their campus in San Lorenzo Village, Makati.
The RBM, which highlights known historical facts on how the Bible came to us, also featured other themes, such as Kababaihan sa Biblia (The Women from the Bible), Bayani rin sila (They are Also Heroes) and Kawikaan (Proverbs).
Over 1000 students from sixth to tenth graders were delighted in seeing copies of Bibles in early translations, Bibles in other languages, a sample of the Papyrus paper, and the scale model of the Tabernacle. One of the Bibles in Early Translations collection was a 105-year-old Bible that was published in the year 1911.
But what thrilled the young women most was the costume playing area where they got to dress-up like some of the inspiring women of the Bible: Mary the mother of Jesus, Queen Esther, Ruth, Mary of Bethany, among others.
Would you like the Roving Bible Museum to visit your church or school? Call or text Ms. Jhei Virata today at 09052762854 or 526 7777 loc. 621 to find out how. You can also drop by our Bible Museum at UN Avenue, Manila to see our full display.
