The Philippine Bible Society (PBS) was recently recognized by the Quezon City Public Library (QCPL) as one of its Top Book Donors.
PBS has donated numerous reading materials, including copies of the Bible in various languages and versions, the Filipino electronic Bible, comic books, coloring books, and other reading materials.
In a simple ceremony last March 9 in celebration of Public Library Day, PBS Public Relations Officer Hazel Alviz and Program Coordinator Nestor Reyes accepted the plaque of appreciation in behalf of PBS and shared the Bible Society’s Mission and Vision.
For her part, City Librarian Emelita Villanueva thanked and encouraged all the donors, supporters, and friends of the QCPL and urged them to continually support their drive for more books and donations. She also stressed that this event must not be their first and last encounter but be the start of a better friendship and partnership.

The other top donors were the Children International, Phils.; Batobalani Foundation, Inc.; Manila Bulletin; FNB Educational, Inc.; National Book Store; Armando Ang; Bookman, Inc.; Phoenix Educational System, Inc.; and, the Quezon City Medical Society.

The Quezon City Public Library is located inside the City Hall Complex in Diliman, Quezon City.
