Richard Allan Ramos of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines bested 19 other school entries during the Poster-Making Contest Awards Ceremony held on September 23, 2005 at the Philippine Bible Society (PBS) Ministry Facility in Sta. Mesa Manila.

The competition was in line with the National Bible Week (NBW) celebration, a yearly national event observed every last week of January. The winning poster design, based on the NBW 2006 theme, “God’s Word: Power for National Renewal”, will be featured in the poster-calendar produced by PBS and distributed nationwide.
Six hundred students from 20 public and private schools and universities within Metro Manila, Rizal and Baguio City participated in the competition, which ran from August 22 – September 10, 2005. The over-all champion was picked from the 20 entries submitted by participating schools and judged by a three-man team of artists composed of Arlene Villaver, Fine Arts Coordinator of Kalayaan College; Dolly Groyon, author of Art for Philippine Schools; and Norma Liongoren, Owner/Manager of Liongoren Gallery.
