PBS, Partners Conduct Voters’ Ed Seminar

Sixty-three individuals participated in the voters’ education seminar that was organized by the Philippine Bible Society (PBS) and its partners and held last April 25, 2015 at the PBS Ministry Facility along UN Avenue, Manila.
Entitled, “Sino ang Dapat Iboto sa Eleksyon 2016?” the half-day forum featured enlightening messages from Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC) Chairman Bishop Evangelio Mercado and youth pastor Rei Lemuel Crizaldo, giving the audience criteria, Biblical and otherwise, with which to measure candidates.

Meanwhile, Commission on Election officers Marlene Rito and Anna Marie Quilala familiarized the assembly with the vote counting machine (VCM) that will be used in the coming May 9 elections. The two officials also conducted a demo election, allowing five members of the audience to use the VCM, while explaining the voting process.
The seminar was made possible through the partnership of the National Youth Commission of the PCEC, COMELEC, and 702 DZAS of the Far East Broadcasting Company.
