PBS Leaders Reach Out, Teach in Davao
February – Davao City. Philippine Bible Society (PBS) General Secretary Dr. Nora Lucero and Associate General Secretary Esperanza Cartera reached out to tribal groups in Davao City and surrounding areas.
The esteemed Bible Society leaders conducted a “Why Focus on Children?” seminar at the Davao Evangelical Church last February 14, encouraging churches to centralize their ministry on the youth.
Proverbs 22:6; “Teach the children in the way they should go, so that when they grow old, they will not depart from it.”
Dr. Lucero and Mrs. Cartera taught pastors, Sunday school teachers, and church workers involved in children’s ministries how to efficiently use PBS Scriptural materials and prepare lesson plans. Among those who attended the seminar were teachers from the Agta, Manobo, and T’boli tribes.
Once again, this move of PBS from management to the staff is proof of our commitment to all segments of the Philippine society to ‘Make the Bible known’, and see “A Transformed Philippines through God’s Word.”
