PBS joins UBS ResDev Training in SG

Philippine Bible Society Partner Relations Supervisor Pearl Grace Cabrera shared that she learned much from the training on Fundraising and Communications that she attended in Singapore last February 10 to 14, 2014.
Organized by the United Bible Societies and hosted by the Bible Society of Singapore, Cabrera said she learned the importance of telling the program beneficiaries’ stories. “I learned that donors appreciate knowing how their donations were spent as this compels them to continue sending a check in the mail regularly,” she shared.
She added that she and 31 others from different Southeast Asian national Bible Societies enjoyed their fellowship and also other workshop sessions on writing, video editing and, photography.
“I also learned the importance of giving a solid project proposal background as it strengthens the pitch and keeps it simple, not unlike telling a good story and asking the listener to be part of it,” she said.
