The Philippine Bible Society Management and Staff and their families celebrated Christmas in a simple lunch program at the Tramway Bayview Buffet along Roxas Boulevard last December 12, 2015.
IMG_3842PBS General Secretary Dr. Nora Lucero welcomed everyone to the modest gathering and recognized the hard work that the management and staff have put in throughout the year. She also recognized the sacrifices they and their families made in the performance of their duties in advancing making the Bible known.
IMG_4023“As we break bread today, let me give due recognition to the hard work everyone has put in throughout the year, as well as the sacrifices your families put in as you did your work. God sees your work and He is faithful and just to reward and honor that,” Dr. Lucero said.
She also challenged everyone to push on with their work especially with just a few days away from the year’s end. “Let us keep on and continue working for our targets and continue to thrust God to help us finish well,” she said.
IMG_3813For his part, PBS Chaplain Rev. Noli Mendoza, in his short exhortation, reminded everyone of the true message of Christmas. “As we attend parties left and right in the coming weeks, let us remember the true meaning of the season: our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ came to be with us,” he stressed.
Following the sumptuous lunch, the Spiritual Development Committee, the praise and worship team, and outgoing leaders of the different care groups were recognized for their share of helping the spiritual development of their respective members.
Also, donations were made to the institutions and communities reached by the care groups through the Ministry Social Responsibility program in lieu of this year’s staff exchange gift.

I am a Bible Ambassador because I believe that the Bible can help people a lot. And knowing the Bible, people come in touch with the Lord Jesus Christ.

It's an honor and a privilege for me to support the Philippine Bible Society - to reach out to the unreachable people by giving Bibles not only in the Philippines but the whole world.

“It is a blessing to be able to support our local churches in need of Bibles and Bible study programs. It is our hope that they not only grow in terms of membership but also have the heart to extend spiritual help to others, just like how they have received help.”

“We are thankful since each individual now has a Bible. Our members will no longer have a hard time reading. Thank you also for the discipleship materials for these will help all in getting to know Jesus and to know how to be a better Christian.”

“I praise and thank our Almighty God that, through PBS, I now own a Poimen version of MBB (Magandang Balita Biblia) in the national language of the Philippines – Tagalog.
Knowing Matthew 10:32-33, I read and study the Bible so that I will not be dismayed when the Lord Jesus Christ comes. Life is too short compared with the promise of eternal life in God’s Kingdom.”

I think this is very helpful to every readers. The word of the Lord are the food of our soul which we always need every minute of our life. I dont often read the Bible but everytime i open it, God was always like in front of me and speaking as what is something i'm just needing to hear. He speaks to me and i can feel it. A million thanks to You my Lord.
