The Philippine Bible Society will work together with other national Bible societies in the Asia Pacific region to improve the audio Scripture products offered in the region.
According to PBS Associate General Secretary Perry Cartera, the agreement came about during the United Bible Societies Publishers’ Convention that she and Publishing Manager Dr. Edgar Ebojo attended in Seoul, South Korea last May 3 to 7, 2015.
“We, in the Asia Pacific region, agreed to look into the type of device we would all use as we all wanted to include other scripture materials in the package,” Mrs. Cartera explained. She also said that the present packaging of audio products produced by the national Bible Societies vary from country to country and only include a copy of the audio Bible.

The UBS Publishers’ Convention is held every other year and serves as a platform for Bible Societies around the world to showcase the Scripture products they produce. “As such, the Bible Societies are able to find products that they can use in their respective areas to effectively make God’s Word known,” Mrs. Cartera said.
Aside from this, Mrs. Cartera said that the forum is also a venue where publishing staff of different Bible Societies are equipped and their skills enhanced to meet the changing demands of publishing Scripture materials.
