Nearly 600 equipped in BRIMS

Close to 600 church leaders and workers in Manila, General Santos in South Cotabato, Cainta and Binangonan in Rizal, Asingan in Pangasinan, and Gapan in Nueva Ecija received training under the Bible Relevance in Modern Times Seminar (BRIMS) from January 29 to February 15, 2016.

Lecturers featured Translation Consultant Bishop Daniel Arichea, Jr., Philippine Bible Society Chaplain Rev. Noli Mendoza, Rev. Mel Cartera, and Rev. Peter Soriano, who spoke on topics such as Hermeneutics and Using the Cebuano Topical Study Bible. A special lecture on the Book of Song of Songs was also given by Rev. Mendoza in time for Valentine’s Day.

Aside from the training, participants also received 582 copies of the English Standard Version Global Study Bible and at least sixty thousand copies of the Generics New Testament portions.

 

BRIMS is a flagship program of the Philippine Bible Society designed to edify and equip local church leaders and workers to make them more effective in their Christian service.
