NBW 2009 Rationale

The National Bible Week 2009 logo is a dynamic representation of Philippine society — unity in diversity — in action. Showcased are the eight pillars of society — Family, Church, Education, Government, Business, Media, Arts & Entertainment, and Science & Technology. Each pillar is unique and separate yet integral in what constitutes our Filipino-ness. The theme and logo “May They Be One” also puts emphasis on the biggest sector or our society — the youth — as the driving force behind this campaign for unity. It is our hope and prayer that under the light and guidance of the Bible, our manual to life, the Filipino youth will take up the challenge of drawing our country together, one in working for peace and progress until we see a transformed Philippines.
