NBW 2006: a call for national renewal

Since 1979, by virtue of Presidential Proclamation no. 1923 signed by President Ferdinand Marcos, the Philippines has been setting aside a week every year to focus on the importance of the Bible through the National Bible Week (NBW) celebration. Under PP no. 44 signed by President Corazon Aquino, NBW was permanently scheduled every last week of January with the Philippine Bible Society spearheading activities.
