MOA Signing

The Philippine Bible Society (PBS) will be working hand-in-hand with the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) and the National Citizens’ Movement for Free Elections (NAMFREL) towards a “clean, honest, accurate, meaningful and peaceful elections in 2010.”
PBS General Secretary Nora G. Lucero recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the two poll watchdogs, represented by Ambassador Henrietta T. de Villa, Chair of PPCRV Namfrel, who also sits in the PBS Board.
Under the covenant, all parties will work together “in the consultation and dissemination of the voters’ election materials ‘Sino ang Dapat Iboto sa Eleksyon 2010?’ and ‘Bakit Dapat Bumoto?’ and other voters’ education materials with emphasis on encouraging registration of first time voters and the cleansing of the voters’ list.”
