Roberto “Kuya Bert” A. Pinon Maymaga, Polangui, Albay

While Kuya Bert’s life was changed by God’s Word, many like him hunger for the same transformation. You and your organization can be instruments of real change—change that is brought about by the Bible—when you participate in the Handwritten Unity Bible (HUB)!
The HUB is a special project designed to support the May They Be One Bible (MTBO) campaign, and is spearheaded by the Philippine Bible Society, in partnership with the Episcopal Commission for the Biblical Apostolate (ECBA) of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), the National Council of Churches in the Philippines (NCCP), the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC), and independent Christian churches in the country.
HUB participants are asked to donate at least PHP50 for every verse they wish to write by hand. This amount subsidizes part of the cost to produce a copy of the Bible. Once completed, the original HUB will be among the features in The Bible Museum located at the PBS Ministry Center in Manila. Meanwhile, copies of the handwritten Bible will also be made available to the public, especially to the thousands of writers who participated in this historic project.
Through the HUB and our other partners, we have distributed almost 2.2 million copies of the MTBO Bible since the national Bible distribution campaign began in 2008. And through your participation in the HUB, we look forward to printing and distributing more copies of the Bible to reach our goal of providing it to 5 million poor Filipino families.

Presently, we are working towards completing the Books of Ezekiel, Numbers, 2 Chronicles, 2 Samuel, and Job. If you are interested in organizing a writing event in your churches, parishes, offices, schools, or communities, or if you have other queries regarding the HUB, please feel free to contact Ms. Asher Bawa-an at (02) 526-7777 loc. 620, or email asher@bible.org.ph

“It is a blessing to be able to support our local churches in need of Bibles and Bible study programs. It is our hope that they not only grow in terms of membership but also have the heart to extend spiritual help to others, just like how they have received help.”

“We are thankful since each individual now has a Bible. Our members will no longer have a hard time reading. Thank you also for the discipleship materials for these will help all in getting to know Jesus and to know how to be a better Christian.”

“I praise and thank our Almighty God that, through PBS, I now own a Poimen version of MBB (Magandang Balita Biblia) in the national language of the Philippines – Tagalog.
Knowing Matthew 10:32-33, I read and study the Bible so that I will not be dismayed when the Lord Jesus Christ comes. Life is too short compared with the promise of eternal life in God’s Kingdom.”

I think this is very helpful to every readers. The word of the Lord are the food of our soul which we always need every minute of our life. I dont often read the Bible but everytime i open it, God was always like in front of me and speaking as what is something i'm just needing to hear. He speaks to me and i can feel it. A million thanks to You my Lord.
