Greek Tag Interlinear Translators Lauded

The translation team for the Greek–Tagalog Interlinear New Testament was acknowledged last April 27 in a simple ceremony at the PBS Ministry Facility at UN Avenue.
Among those feted were PBS Chaplain Rev. Noli Mendoza, Rev. Carmelo Cartera, Rev. Gideon Rodriguez, Rev. Zaldy Payuran, Rev. Dr. Federico Villanueva, who comprised the Drafting Committee.
Also honored were the members of the Review Committee, namely, Rev. Arnulfo Daculan, Rev. Jaime Pante, Rev Roderick Rodriguez, Rev. Manolito Garcia, Rev. Luz Sta. Ana, Rev. Edward Roperos, Rev. Zaldy Payuran, and Rev. Reynold Lagrimas.
The project support staff members that included Translation Consultants Dr. Anicia del Corro and Rev. Dr. Edgar Ebojo, Project Manager Dolorita Monera, and Project Secretaries Cecil Mejia and Mars Magbitang-Landingin.
Dr. Ebojo shared that the Greek-Tagalog Interlinear New testament was among the Scripture materials that were proposed during the October 2002 consultation conducted by PBS with the different seminaries in the country. He added that they had begun selecting and training translators in March 2003.
The Greek-Tagalog Interlinear New Testament was launched last April 16, 2016 during the Bible Society’s 51st Annual Membership Meeting.
