New Testament Turn-Over to PNP

On the occasion of the 20th Founding Anniversary of the Phil National Police Community Relations, we turned-over 9,000 New Testaments (NTs)  to Gen. Nicanor Bartolome, PNP Chief. The 9,000 is part of the 20,000 New Testaments donated by Mr. Menardo and Mrs. Kay Jimenez as specifically to be distributed to the PNP for its values formation program. Bishop Jonel Milan handed over the NTs to Gen. Bartolome and on behalf of PBS, I signed the PNP-PBS MOA.

Ms. Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, eldest sister of Pres. Noynoy Aquino, was Guest of Honor and Speaker and Cong. Manny Pacquiao was the Gospel Sharer.
Ms. Ballsy Cruz shared a short, extemporaneous but very sincere speech. We saw in her the humility, sincerity and graciousness so typical of the Aquino family. She acknowledged Ms. Kay Jimenez as the reason why she became part of the Bible project. She also assured PNP of our prayers and support. “Kami sa PBS ay patuloy ang panalangin at suporta sa PNP”, she said.
Cong. Manny Pacquiao spoke on the importance of the Bible and how reading it changed his life. He is now an ardent Bible Ambassador encouraging everyone to read the Bible every day as he said, the Bible is our Manual to Life. He promised Gen. Bartolome to come back and have more time to conduct Bible studies in the PNP.
The event was covered by GMA7 and other media networks. I was interviewed by GMA7 and Ch 4.
We will post in the PBS website (and some in our Facebook page) the pictures taken during the event. We thank Mr. Menardo and Mrs. Kay Jimenez for their generous hearts in funding the printing, Bp. Jonel Milan for his presence and handing the NTs over to Gen. Bartolome, Perry Cartera for coordinating with the PNP, Laura Valledo for printing the NTs and all of us who in one way or another,  prayed and supported the project.
We say, thank you, Lord, for continuing to use PBS in making your Word available to our police force and others. May we all read, live and share God’s Word. To God be the glory!
