Philippine Bible Society (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our users (“you” or “your”) and maintaining the confidentiality of the information you provide when using the BibliApp Pilipinas (the “App”). This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE FOR THE PBS BIBLE MOBILE APP

Effective Date: October 11, 2023

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using BibliApp (the “App”) provided by the Philippine Bible Society (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms govern your App use and constitute a legally binding agreement between you and us. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

 

License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on your device solely for personal, non-commercial purposes. You acknowledge that we retain all rights, titles, and interest in and to the App and its content.

 

User Account

Some features of the App require you to create a user account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

 

Content

The App provides access to biblical content, including text, images, audio, and videos (“Content”). The Content is provided for informational purposes only and should not be considered as professional advice, ecclesiastical position, or theological interpretation. You acknowledge that your use of the Content is your own responsibility.

 

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App and its Content, including copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets, belong to us. You agree NOT TO reproduce, modify, distribute, display, perform, or create derivative works of the App or its Content, except as expressly authorized by us. Any form of duplicating, modifying, displaying, copying, and distributing our content, text, video, audio, or the App without our knowledge is punishable by law.

 

Prohibited Conduct

When using the App, you agree not to:

a. Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
b. Engage in unauthorized access or use of the App or its Content.
c. Interfere with the operation or security of the App.
d. Use the App for any unlawful, harmful, or inappropriate purposes.
e. Transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code through the App.
f. Collect or store personal information of other users without their consent.
g. Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

 

Privacy

We respect your privacy and handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

THE APP AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

 

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE APP OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

 

Modifications to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes to these Terms through the App or other means. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

 

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App, in whole or in part, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete it from your mobile device.

 

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Philippine International Center for Conflict Resolution. The arbitration shall take place in the Republic of the Philippines, and the award rendered by the arbitrator(s) shall be binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

 

Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the App and supersede any prior agreements, oral or written, between you and us.

By using the BibliApp, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

DATA DELETION INSTRUCTIONS

If you want to remove all your connections between Facebook and BibliApp Pilipinas, including automatic log-in via Facebook, then follow the steps below.

 

1. Go to Your Facebook Account’s Settings & privacy.
2. Click “Settings”. You will be redirected to Settings & privacy page
3. Search for “Apps and websites” or scroll down up to the “Your activity” section then click “Apps and websites”. You will be redirected to Apps and Websites page which displays the list of apps and websites connected to your Facebook account.
4. Click BibliApp Pilipinas. You will be redirected to another page that displays the list of information shared to BibliApp Pilipinas
5. Click Remove. A modal will be displayed with Remove button
6. Click Remove.

 

If you want to delete all activities and non-public information your previously shared with BibliApp, then follow the steps below.

 

1. Log-in to BibliApp Pilipinas
2. Go to Menu tab
3. Click the Delete Account. A modal will be displayed on your screen.
4. Click Continue
