Bible Fun Run Registration is Open

The Philippine Bible Society (PBS) Communications Department announced the opening of registration for the Bible Fun Run slated for January 24, 2015.
The announcement came after the fourth meeting of the Inter-Church Consultative and Advisory Group (ICCAG) last August 14 at the PBS Ministry Facility in UN Avenue, Manila.
PBS has released registration kits, including the official registration forms, to its partner churches and organizations. As such, expected is the confirmation of names for the first batch of registrants in the coming weeks. Communications OIC Raymond Francisco added that while the 2015 Bible Fun Run will be localized in every city or municipality, it will be synchronized all across all regions in the Philippines.
Francisco shared that for only PHP 300, one can participate in the 5-kilometer fun run and write a verse from the Bible for the historic Handwritten Unity Bible (HUB) writing event to be held during the 2015 Bible Fun Run. “A substantial portion of the registration fee will support the May They Be One Bible (MTBO) Campaign which will make available Bibles to five million poor Filipino families,” Francisco added.
The ICCAG is composed of representatives from various churches, parishes, and organizations from the faith councils that partner with the Bible Society in preparing for the annual National Bible Week (NBW) celebrations.
In its regular monthly meetings this year, the ICCAG finalized the theme for next year’s NBW celebration: “Sharing God’s Word, Empowering the Poor, Transforming the Land,” and the details of the Bible Run.
