7 Reasons Not to be Impatient

PSALM 13

1How much longer will you forget me, Lord? Forever?

How much longer will you hide yourself from me?

2How long must I endure trouble?

How long will sorrow fill my heart day and night?

How long will my enemies triumph over me?

3Look at me, O Lord my God, and answer me.

Restore my strength; don’t let me die.

4Don’t let my enemies say, “We have defeated him.”

Don’t let them gloat over my downfall.

5I rely on your constant love;

I will be glad, because you will rescue me.

6I will sing to you, O Lord,

because you have been good to me.

PSALM 37:1-7

1Don’t be worried on account of the wicked;

don’t be jealous of those who do wrong.

2They will soon disappear like grass that dries up;

they will die like plants that wither.

3Trust in the Lord and do good;

live in the land and be safe.

4Seek your happiness in the Lord,

and he will give you your heart’s desire.

5Give yourself to the Lord;

trust in him, and he will help you;

6he will make your righteousness shine like the noonday sun.

7Be patient and wait for the Lord to act;

don’t be worried about those who prosper

or those who succeed in their evil plans.

PSALM 40:1-5

I waited patiently for the Lord‘s help;
    then he listened to me and heard my cry.
He pulled me out of a dangerous pit,
    out of the deadly quicksand.
He set me safely on a rock
    and made me secure.
He taught me to sing a new song,
    a song of praise to our God.
Many who see this will take warning
    and will put their trust in the Lord.

Happy are those who trust the Lord,
    who do not turn to idols
    or join those who worship false gods.
You have done many things for us, O Lord our God;
    there is no one like you!
    You have made many wonderful plans for us.
I could never speak of them all—
    their number is so great!

ECCLESIASTES 3:1-15

Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses.

He sets the time for birth and the time for death,
the time for planting and the time for pulling up,
the time for killing and the time for healing,
the time for tearing down and the time for building.
He sets the time for sorrow and the time for joy,
the time for mourning and the time for dancing,
the time for making love and the time for not making love,
the time for kissing and the time for not kissing.
He sets the time for finding and the time for losing,
the time for saving and the time for throwing away,
the time for tearing and the time for mending,
the time for silence and the time for talk.
He sets the time for love and the time for hate,
the time for war and the time for peace.

What do we gain from all our work? 10 I know the heavy burdens that God has laid on us. 11 He has set the right time for everything. He has given us a desire to know the future, but never gives us the satisfaction of fully understanding what he does. 12 So I realized that all we can do is be happy and do the best we can while we are still alive.13 All of us should eat and drink and enjoy what we have worked for. It is God’s gift.
14 I know that everything God does will last forever. You can’t add anything to it or take anything away from it. And one thing God does is to make us stand in awe of him.15 Whatever happens or can happen has already happened before. God makes the same thing happen again and again.

LAMENTATIONS 3:25-33

25 The Lord is good to everyone who trusts in him,
26     So it is best for us to wait in patience—to wait for him to save us—
27     And it is best to learn this patience in our youth.

28 When we suffer, we should sit alone in silent patience;
29     We should bow in submission, for there may still be hope.
30     Though beaten and insulted, we should accept it all.

31 The Lord is merciful and will not reject us forever.
32     He may bring us sorrow, but his love for us is sure and strong.
33     He takes no pleasure in causing us grief or pain.

HEBREWS 6:13-20

13 When God made his promise to Abraham, he made a vow to do what he had promised. Since there was no one greater than himself, he used his own name when he made his vow. 14 He said, “I promise you that I will bless you and give you many descendants.” 15 Abraham was patient, and so he received what God had promised.16 When we make a vow, we use the name of someone greater than ourselves, and the vow settles all arguments. 17 To those who were to receive what he promised, God wanted to make it very clear that he would never change his purpose; so he added his vow to the promise. 18 There are these two things, then, that cannot change and about which God cannot lie. So we who have found safety with him are greatly encouraged to hold firmly to the hope placed before us. 19 We have this hope as an anchor for our lives. It is safe and sure, and goes through the curtain of the heavenly temple into the inner sanctuary. 20 On our behalf Jesus has gone in there before us and has become a high priest forever, in the priestly order of Melchizedek.

JAMES 5:7-11

Be patient, then, my friends, until the Lord comes. See how patient farmers are as they wait for their land to produce precious crops. They wait patiently for the autumn and spring rains. You also must be patient. Keep your hopes high, for the day of the Lord’s coming is near.
Do not complain against one another, my friends, so that God will not judge you. The Judge is near, ready to appear. 10 My friends, remember the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. Take them as examples of patient endurance under suffering. 11 We call them happy because they endured. You have heard of Job’s patience, and you know how the Lord provided for him in the end. For the Lord is full of mercy and compassion.

I am a Bible Ambassador because I believe that the Bible can help people a lot. And knowing the Bible, people come in touch with the Lord Jesus Christ.

“It is a blessing to be able to support our local churches in need of Bibles and Bible study programs. It is our hope that they not only grow in terms of membership but also have the heart to extend spiritual help to others, just like how they have received help.”

“I praise and thank our Almighty God that, through PBS, I now own a Poimen version of MBB (Magandang Balita Biblia) in the national language of the Philippines – Tagalog.
Knowing Matthew 10:32-33, I read and study the Bible so that I will not be dismayed when the Lord Jesus Christ comes. Life is too short compared with the promise of eternal life in God’s Kingdom.”

I think this is very helpful to every readers. The word of the Lord are the food of our soul which we always need every minute of our life. I dont often read the Bible but everytime i open it, God was always like in front of me and speaking as what is something i'm just needing to hear. He speaks to me and i can feel it. A million thanks to You my Lord.
