OPERATION JERICHO Hits Marinduque, Negros Oriental

PBS partner Every Home for Christ Philippines (EHCP) has successfully reached out to some 31,000 families in Marinduque last June 3-9.
EHCP National Director Samuel Evangelista said that an estimated 155,000 people were given the opportunity to receive the Lord through Operation JERICHO (Jesus Reaching Individuals, Communities, and Homes).  He added that they were able to distribute the “Alam Mo Ba?” (Do You Know?) Gospel booklet in four of the six municipalities of the island province.

This booklet reached the shores of Marinduque and Negros Oriental.

A team of volunteer doctors, physical therapists, young people, and church workers participated in the seven-day, house-to-house distribution. They also conducted a medical mission and family counseling in barangays Sinambahan and Talawan in the town of Torrijos.
Despite the limited supply of medicine and a grueling 12-kilometer trek to the area, they succeeded in sharing God’s love to the people. Pastor Sam added that the team always felt “spiritually refreshed as they gave time, talent, and treasure to the ministry.”
Meanwhile, another set of volunteers, including doctors and pastors from the local Good News Christian Churches, joined Pastor Sam in a distribution mission in Negros Oriental last July 1-9.
He likened their experience to the “Survivor” series, after hiking more than 30 kilometers to minister to families in barangays Nangka, Buenavista, and San Miguel.
The residents, he said, found it unusual to see people from Manila going to such lengths – walking through mud, continuous downpour, and snakes – just to reach out to them.
Their efforts here resulted to about 30 individuals accepting the Lord.

I am a Bible Ambassador because I believe that the Bible can help people a lot. And knowing the Bible, people come in touch with the Lord Jesus Christ.

“It is a blessing to be able to support our local churches in need of Bibles and Bible study programs. It is our hope that they not only grow in terms of membership but also have the heart to extend spiritual help to others, just like how they have received help.”

“We are thankful since each individual now has a Bible. Our members will no longer have a hard time reading. Thank you also for the discipleship materials for these will help all in getting to know Jesus and to know how to be a better Christian.”

It has well-equipped leaders who facilitate trainings and workshops.

“I praise and thank our Almighty God that, through PBS, I now own a Poimen version of MBB (Magandang Balita Biblia) in the national language of the Philippines – Tagalog.
Knowing Matthew 10:32-33, I read and study the Bible so that I will not be dismayed when the Lord Jesus Christ comes. Life is too short compared with the promise of eternal life in God’s Kingdom.”

I think this is very helpful to every readers. The word of the Lord are the food of our soul which we always need every minute of our life. I dont often read the Bible but everytime i open it, God was always like in front of me and speaking as what is something i'm just needing to hear. He speaks to me and i can feel it. A million thanks to You my Lord.
